Frequently Asked Questions
Most filters need to be replaced every 3 to 6 months, but this depends on your water quality and usage. Check the product label or your system’s manual for specific recommendations.
Sediment filters remove dirt, sand, and rust.
Carbon filters reduce chlorine, bad taste, and odour.
Specialty filters target specific concerns like lead, iron, scale, or bacteria.Common signs include reduced water pressure, unusual taste or smell, or visible discoloration. Some systems also have indicators to let you know.
It refers to the size of particles the filter removes. For example, a 5-micron filter removes particles 5 microns or larger. Lower numbers = finer filtration.
Standard filters are about 2.5" wide and fit most small residential systems. Big Blue filters are 4.5" wide and are used in high-flow or whole-home systems.
Always check the size (e.g., 10" x 2.5" or 20" x 4.5") and filter type. If you're not sure, just contact us—we’re happy to help!
